While we were working on this issue of Inc., I took a couple of days out of the office to moderate a panel at a startup week in Fort Collins, Colorado. I was happy to do it. Some publications seem to think entrepreneurship is practiced only in California, New York City, and Boston. I like reminding people that Inc. knows better.
Local Reporter Jacky Wilson of FCSW News breaks a startling story about the epidemic level of Tech Neck cases in Northern Colorado and potential treatments as things get dire right before the summer of innovation kicks into high gear in the region with events like Fort Collins Startup Week, Longmont Startup Week....
2014 #establishedit and 2015 will be about #BUILDIT. Happy Holidays from #launchnoco and @launchhausfc @chrisjsnook @briannesnook
2014 is half-gone and Launch Haus is off to a BIG start and celebrates a look back on some of the first year highlights.
We had 3221 people attend our first ever Fort Collins Startup Week from 16 States and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and provided over 54 different workshops, events, concerts, and speaker sessions as well as over 200 mentor sessions with only 102 days of planning, prep, and promotion! See the highlights below
HIGHLIGHT #2 The beta-launch of Launch Haus Manor "Founders Room"
We enjoyed our first official beta-launch guests at Launch Haus Manor's "Founder's Room" on June 9th when we hosted Fynn and Jake from Chattanooga startup www.rootsrated.com and it was a blast getting to know them and connect them to a few VC meetings and some potential customers. They also gave us a generous review online and in the paper when interviewed.
In February Fort Collins, CO became the 49th city worldwide to launch a 1 Millions Cups chapter and we have have had some awesomely diverse presentations and a growing community member audience each week and are excited as we enter our 6th month to continue to grow the crowd and Launch NoCo membership from 348 to our ambitious target of 4000 by year's end. In an effort to duplicate and develop several more world-class community builders and leaders Launch Haus also announced its first Cohort of LEAD22 delegates. These 7 individuals Michael Bailey, Sai Balasubramanian, Jimmy Danella, Murat Erdogan, Judith Hamman, Travis Hevelone, and Tom Maynard have all entered a rigorous 6 month leadership accelerator with a triple bottom line (Individual, Group, and Community) goal metric to 12x the growth rate of their own personal income/userbase while simultaneously growing the Launch NoCo membership to over 4000 members (from 348) by year end by providing new meetup content and amplifying existing core assets as co-organizers. Wish them well and we honor them for taking on this challenge with us!
What an amazing density of entrepreneurial island energy in Puerto Rico and what a beautiful island! We took the whole Launch Haus Fam-Damily to work and play and mentor over 40 new Puerto Rico founders and were inspired by the enthusiasm and ideas bouncing around this 3500 square mile island.
We can't wait to see what happens in the 2nd half of 2014 and wish you all the very best success in whatever you are CRUSHING this year! Chris and Brianne Snook (Founders)
